porting number question
I will be porting my husband cell # from VZ to T-mobile next month. How long will it take for the number to be transferred over?

In reply to the amount of time from VZ - TM concerning "Porting"...we have had a pretty good transfer time with them, Has been taking about 2 days to port.
Keep in mind the porting usually can take 2-7 days.
Please make sure that the Verizon account that is being ported stays active the entire time - T-Mobile will automatically cancel your Verizon service once the port is successful, and if possible please bring in a copy of your latest bill from VZ for the Rep to get the account# off of...this is required for the transfer.

Yesterday I switched from VZW to T-Mobile and 30 minutes ago, my porting was completed. 36 hours! Not bad compared to the 5-7 business day horror porting stories I've heard from friends.

takes about few hours also heather when u get fed up with terrible service that t-mobile has and then decide to port back to vzw
