Step 2. Insert T-Mobile microSIM (cut down normal SIM if you have to)
Step 3. ....?

The iPhones doesn't support WCDMA 1700 MHz, so any iPhone on T-Mobile's network won't get access to their 3G network. Same for all of the other AT&T phones.
