TMO 4G
Thanks
I don't blame T-mobile though for that, heck if you were possibly going to be bought out why spend all the cash to upgrade to LTE? Now that the deal fell through maybe they will start upgrading their network, and who knows they are probably already working on it.
If that is the case, (which I know it is), why do people love to ignore that? People act as if that never happened.
That being said, I don't know the answer to the original question and was hoping to read the answer...but oh well..
Please list which smartphone you use and where you live.

I wasn't going to comment on this, but was it not decided that HSPA+ (tech significantly faster than 3G) could be called 4G?

I do not want to start an argument but is there a chance that some people do not recognize HSPA+ as 4G because it is still WCDMA? And others see 4G as WIMAX and LTE
i am not a cell tech but i saaume they are different radio types just my thoughts
For example, at one time LTE wasn't considered 4G (technically) until the speeds were to 100 Mbps. However, the industry has accepted current LTE speeds to be 4G. You will not rarely hear anyone say that Verizon's LTE isn't 4G (and compare that to current WIMAX, which is a lot slower, even at times slower than HSPA+ 42). So whether rightly or wrongly, it has been decided that HSPA+ can be called ...

I meant to say "You will rarely hear...."* (When typing, I changed the wording of the sentence and didnt erase the word "not"...sorry)
thanks

My point is simply that terms like 4G, 3G, etc are based on standards that are agreed to in the industry. It has been decided that HSPA+ can be called 4G because it has significant increases in speed to 3G. If that standard has been updated to accept this, then why can't people accept it too?...
THANK YOU! I would in no way say that it is superior to LTE, but as an AT&T rep, I am tired of arguing WITH OUR OWN CUSTOMERS that we do not have 4G!
