TMO Monthly 4G plans
TMO has a $30/Month 100 minute unlim text & web plan available online.
I'd like this plan but not with any of the phones they offer with it.
To activate one of these plans you need a SIM card (obviously), a prepaid code (from the box the phone came in), and the IMEI number from the phone.
These three things minus the SIM lead me to think if I provided my own phone, say an HTC One S without the prepaid code and IMEI being attached to that monthly 4G plan. That I wouldn't be able to get the plan phone combo? 😕
Or could I just order the $2 SIM and than call in and activate the $30 plan with another smartphone not on that plans list?
Clear as mud? Thought so. 🙂

I was thinking doing just this but wasn't sure either. I think its worth 2 dollars to find out http://prepaid-phones.t-mobile.com/prepaid-ph one/T-Mobile-Prepaid-SIM-Activation-kit this page seems to point to being able use your own phone easily if you ignore where it says already have a tmobile prepaip phone

Or you could use your own GSM phone, no matter what kind, on StraightTalk from Walmart for $45 unlimited talk, text, and web. They use both AT&T and T Mobile's network. I know it's $15 more a month, but it's all unlimited, so a very good deal. If your original idea doesn't work, then I'd look into this option for you. They have been promoting customers to bring their own phones over to them. Or you could do their $30, 1000 anytime, 1000 text, and 300mb data per month too with your own GSM phone. Just another option for ya.

Want that Plan? Buy the prepaid activation kit from www.T-Mobile.com, Walmart.com, or from a Walmart retail store. The Activation codes in the kits from those locations are different, and the system recognizes that, and allows you to use that plan as long as you get the SIM activation kit from one of those 3 locations. a brand new device is NOT required, you can use whatever phone you want, just MAKE SURE to get the activation kit from one of those locations, and it must be a brand new account activation, you cant change a current account to that plan.
