The pricing has been discussed in other threads..Perhaps because you are on a loyalty plan, you have no idea how expensive other carriers are...but..Give me an example of how signing a contract with another carrier is cheaper..Just actually do the math..dont look just at the initial phone price, but look at the total that you would be paying for both carriers (even when contract is up)..and look at comparable plans (even though it is difficult, when only T-Mo, Spint, and US Cellular offer unlimited data). Also, remember this principle: Carriers have been adding the phone subsidy into the plan price, but not subtracting it out when the contract is over. T-Mobile is not like that anymore.

It is much cheaper if you do the math... the rate plan alone makes it much cheaper vs those who have verizon, sprint and AT&T. if you have a classic plan and a value plan you are going to be saving some money as well.

If you want to pay those installments off you may and upgrade whenever and have the opportunity to get that phone unlocked... there are benefits to having this installment plan. you save- thats the point.
