Bluetooth coming?
I saw the post below about the new phones in 4Q04. Does anyone know if any of those phones will have bluetooth? I'm just itchin to use the built in bluetooth phone on my car.
I'm seriously considering switching to a GSM carrier if the CDMAs can't put up some better options on phones, despite the fact that GSM coverage is clearly not as good as CDMA here in NC.

yes...MotoV710...to be released in late Oct.. will also have another camera phone, as well as 2 T2T phones ...one Kyocera and one LG...as well as one more Moto (262) sometime in November....just FYI 😉 😁 🙂 😎

That's some good news. Any idea if the bluetooth on the v710 will be crippled like the Verizon version? The main reason I haven't switched to Verizon and gotten a v710 is that the phonebook doesn't work well with my car because Verizon has blocked bluetooth file transfers (so they can bill you for sending pix over their network). What's Alltel's take on that?

well that to my understanding the only reason that we are in a "delay" status with the 710 was that the "picture messaging" software in the 710 would not link up with the messaging service that Alltel has. Otherwise we might have came out with it before Verizon. Our Picture messaging is on a platform built by Ericsson and it doesnt work with well with Moto equipment. I also heard that the picture messaging for the price may change to give you a better value...dont know the price point as of yet...but with more camera phones coming out...more people will likely to switch to Alltel since "everyone" didnt like us due to our small selection of phones. I think the company has finally realized that the public is right in wanting fresh and new ...
