Why does ALltel not release new phones. Like the Kyocera KOI/KX2, and the Motorola Razor and MP2 phones and Audiovox 9900.

they have to "test" phones...thus them not coming out til around 6-12 months later..when no one really likes them

i want to buy a kyocera koi phone and activate it on alltel service i know the phone is sold by verizon can i use it on our service

If you want a phone with a bunch of multimedia functions then get a palm pilot. DO you want a phone or a gizmo gadget? I personally want a phone that makes and receives phone calls, that's what they are designed for. Alltel does a good job at that.

The wireless market is nowadays is comprised of data speeds and camera technology, and talking on them alone is not nearly enough for competition. Alltel is well aware of that, especially since they recently released the Motorola v710, as we all know, it has a megapixel camera along with video recording and is a flip phone, which are very popular in the cellular industry.

Alltel has answered with the right phones and coverage. However, a big step toward being successful at it is to have network upgrades to support sending video clips from your phone and accessing higher data speeds. Verizon Wireless already has plans for EV-DO, along with Cingular upgrading to UMTS, both to be completed in late 2005 and into most of 2006. It will be i...

Alltel is a Regional company and regional companies tend to not have the highest technology or offer the best devices. Alltel cannot offer the Motorola RAZR because it is a GSM phone and Alltel is a CDMA network. The sad thing is that Alltel cannot even offer the v710 in some markets because they still don't have 1xRTT in these areas. If you are looking for the most advanced devices I would switch to Cingular or Tmobile. Cingular is even updating its network to UMTS (Broadband on a phone with video calls.) If you want superior technology you need to switch to a superior carrier. (Cingular, Tmobile, Verizon wireless.)
