ETF Question?
I read somewhere that when you are not out of contract and you port the phone number over to a new company. They do not prorate the time left on the month you prorate.
Can anyone verify this for me because we ported the phone 8 days into our new billing cycle so are they going to still charge me for the whole month? Or will it be prorated since we cannot use the phone on that line anymore. I already have the $200. ETF fee on my bill. There are still other lines of service on the account we ported from.

I have 9 other phones at Alltel and I am leaving them until VZW actually takes over but I have to say I dont feel it is fair especially paying the $200. ETF.
I wonder if all the cell providers are like that I might research it for when the big takeover comes along.
So, fair warning. If you carry a 1000 minute plan, and you port out on day 15 and have already used 800 minutes, you're going to get slapped overage on your final bill.
