Its unoffical but I just got word of a Jan 9th closing date for the Alltel - Verizon Meger. Its going to be a great next few months.

Jan 9th is the scheduled closing date and I hear from a very reliable source, look for the first round of job cuts in Little Rock middle of Jan.

So Alltel will be rebranded to VZW on Jan 9th? Or is the rebranding still awhile off?

Still some time off.

And no, you won't be able to go to a store that says "alltel" on the door today and buy verizon phones or plans there either. That too is some time off.
