Alltel Contracts

I know I have asked several questions, however I have one more. When Verizon takes over will current Alltel customers have the chance to change phones. I currently have an Samsung U520 from Alltel. I would like to switch to a smartphone of some sort. If we are able to switch, does anyone have any idea when we would be able to switch.

You will be able to switch when your contract is up or you can buy a phone out right, All alltel equipment is able to work on VZ network.

I'm guessing they will do an early buyout where you can pay a set amount, say $50, and upgrade early if you switch to a Verizon plan. This is similar to what Alltel did with the Midwest Wireless buy-out.
