No, sir...they will continue to work. They will still come up as Alltel phones, but your bills will say "Verizon", to the best of my knowledge. If you are ready to upgrade now, and Alltel has a phone you want, go reup now. If, like me, you're wanting a phone only Verizon has available, you could either buy the phone at full retail, activate it on the Alltel network, and have the advantage of keeping your Alltel plan. If you wait for Verizon to get here, and you want to upgrade and get a Verizon phone at a discount, you're probably going to have to change your plan to a Verizon plan.
