contract question
I got four phones on my current plan. One of the phones is up for a upgrade. Verizon is supposedly going to be here the first of July. If I wait and get a phone then will it affect my current contract? Local rep said he did not know the answer. Thanks for your help.

pretty sure that if you wait for VZW you will have to upgrade to one of thier handsets with one of thier plans

Wonder how this would affect the other phones on my plan that are still under contract until late 2010? Looking at Verizon plans I don't think I have a problem switching to one. Thank you for your help.

i'm told VZW will honour the plans until they are out. i think once they are up you will have to switch, and the remaing phones will stay on the alltel plan, and the others will be on a seprate VZW bill.

You can upgrade to a VZW phone and keep your Alltel plan. NONE of the VZW features will work on the Alltel plans (VZNav, V Cast, etc.). You will be able to keep your plan for the forseeable future (I'm guessing about three years or so, but that's speculation), but again, if you want certain things, you'll have to switch to a VZW plan. Also, at this time, you will not be able to use an Alltel phone on a VZW plan.

Are you sure? I've seen a lot of VZW phones activated on Alltel plans.

you can technically use alltel or vzw phones on each others network you just have to trick the rep into putting that esn on the account.
