Worst service in American history !!

that's a fairly bold statement. i'm sure somewhere, someone has gotten worse service than you. 🙂
Try the number I just posted. If they answer, I'll buy you a steak dinner. One condition. You only get 300 tries. 😲
one time the guy from mcdonalds spilt my milkshake into my car while trying to hand it to me, then i pulled around and the manager came out with some cleaner to help me clean my seats. the cleaner had bleach in it and ruined my seat. then my fries were cold. and they didn't give me any sweet and sour sauce. that was pretty bad. i think maybe that was the worst customer service of all time 🙂

Why don't you call Customer Service (800-255-8351). The Store may have a second number that is not on the website they can connect you to. They may even be able to answer your questions.
Call me silly, but I just figured I should be able to talk to a human being in a retail store located 5 miles from my house. The tally is now 0-for-425.

OK. From now on, whenever a place of business doesn't answer their phone, I'll walk down to their store. How logical!! You're a GENIUS !! It could even help solve the obesity problem in America !!

if u live in the fox cities....call uscc instead
Now THERE's a good idea, and I'm not being sarcastic. USCC is my favorite carrier, but I just wanted to ask Alltel a quick question. Incidentally -- to the other gentleman that was sticking up for Alltel -- consider this. Let's pretend you own a store. Let's further pretend that Jane Doe comes up to you one day and says "Hey Bill, no-one's answering the phone at your store!" Would you say to her, "Jane, you lazy *itch. Start walking your lazy azz down to the store!!" Not a good idea in my humble opinion.

here's a secret, if you call a number 400 times and aren't getting a response, you're probably not dialing the right number...
You have every right to be upset about them not answering the phone, but...considering that it's that close to you and they're not answering..why wouldn't you just go down there to ask your question and to complain to the manager about the phone situation? Calling that many times does seem kinda crazy considering how close you live. I'm not saying walk...though I know it wasn't meant to be literal, but drive..yea. If I were you I would've been upset enough after calling five times to go to the store to see what the deal was...just my 2 cents. Good luck with your situation.

After reading the other posts I wanted to add that I have been in an Alltel store and had to wait for a really long time to be helped simply because half the world was in the store that day...so if I had to wait in the store, with them working as quickly and as efficiently as possible...I'd imagine no one would be available to answer the phone when it's crazy like that. ...Just something to keep in mind during your rage. I'm sure it's inconvenient, but imagine how pissed you'd be if you went down to the store and they let you stand around for hours while they answered phones in your face.
I'm with Maximus2 on this one. The answer is simple and straightforward. HIRE MORE EMPLOYEES OR...

so you think they should hire someone simply to answer phones?
No. I'm saying Alltel need to hire more people to handle the in-store traffic plus telephone calls plus whatever-whatever. The motto at my workplace is "Whatever it takes". It's another way of saying Nike's motto "Just do it". If you can't deal with all the people and answer the phones, hire more people. No excuses.

Maybe my boss stole it from CUSA. But, no, I don't work there. p.s. If you haven't seen all 3 parts of the trilogy Lord of the Rings, well, you're missing the best 3 movies ever made !!
And ask your boss where he got that slogan!

I have about $3000.00 worth of Sideshow Toy items in my lower level. Was, and still am, mesmerized by the AWESOMENESS of the 3 movies. 😁

Peter Jackson is gonna make The Hobbit as soon as he's done with King Kong!! I can't wait, and they haven't even started production on it yet. LOL.

No granted, they may not be answering their phones for some reason (wouldn't be the first time I've seen a store forget to take a phone off night-mode), but anybody that comes out with the whining attitude you opened up with simply has an axe to grind. If it of that dire importance, I'm sure the customer care department that you were transferred to...

Ok. I work at an alltel store. When there are 50 people in the store and the phone is ringing, which one do you think is more important? The people calling in are just calling to ask a stupid question (like what time do you close? or can I make a payment over the phone? or do you have any specials this month?) We are not paid to answer phones. You are transferred to the Alltel Customer Care because they are paid to talk on the phone. If there is no one in the store, yeah we will answer the phone, but have you been into a retail store lately? They are never empty. I would love to have the time to stop doing what I am doing to talk to a person like you on the phone for 30 minutes, but I just do not have t

And when you are in line at a store and all they are doing is talking on the phone and ignoring you, you get pissed. It's a catch 22 and with any business, the people in front of you are a priority. The customer service line is for people with questions, that is why they are there.
Whatever it takes. If they have 3 employees, then they need 4. If they have 6 employees, then they need 7. If they have 23 employees, then they need 24.

Meanwhile, back to reality:
Whatever It Takes !
Just Do It !
No Excuses !
Just tonight, I had people come in to "flash" phones, all at CLOSING time on the dot, of course.
ALL for silly access apps. (Ringtones and wallpaper downloads, etc.)
Like it can't wait ONE day, or it is soooooo dire to have a silly ringtone IMMEDIATELY, especially when we are just about to close the store to go home to our respective family's and our respective lives!
My gosh! The world is gonna stop spinnin'!
I take pride in treating my customers fairly and politely, especially if they are fair to me. No one wants to help a rude jerk. 😡
What goes around comes around, a rep. has no excuse to be rude, and needs to portray the company professionaly, irregardless.
BUT, the problem in this "entitlemen...
