I heard that there is a way to flash the Verizon Phone to Alltel???

Don't know for sure if that's possible with this particular phone, but if history is a teacher, probably not. Once Verizon's software is downloaded into a phone, generally speaking, it can't be used on any other provider. That used to be the case, and I don't know for sure if that's changed, though.
Wasn't there recent chatter about CDMA phones being able to work on ANY CDMA provider?

That is why you don't have the browser. It is possible to put other carriers phones on each carrier. The bad thing is when you do, there are services that won't work. Not sure on the Blackberry, but I think it is the same as standard phones and you can't.

Download the 4.5 (or current device software from RIM). Load it into the phone. You will need to do this from the computer you have your BB Desktop software installed on. Call customer service and tell them you bought an Alltel BB Curve on line and need to do the ESN change. No one will ever know and it will act just like an Alltel BB Curve (Browser and all).
Be sure to update the PRL option though.
Worked for me may times....
