I want to work for this company
Hey all I currently work for cingular wireless and my call center handles everything migrations, promotions, customer service, tech support I have to do everything. But I am a true Western Wireless lover I love everything about them and have been selling them with out pay for a very long time. But since I found out about the merger and the release of the nokia 6255i w/ western wireless I have really been looking into changing my career I really am wanting a job the only problem is western wireless owns my state and there is not a single alltel store in my STATE. I am worried about getting a job as an agent in the store for fear of job security let me know if you have any information on what is going to happen to the old western wireless a...

My recommendation to you would be this:
Wait for the deal to finalize. When this happens, there will be no Western Wireless and it will all be Alltel. Then you will have some stores in your area to move into for employment!
If all goes as planned, the deal would most likely be finished around mid-late summer and then you'll be in business!

YOu definetly want to work for alltel but in Stuart Florida when we bought out some US Cellular properties they kept the employees so I think it will still be that way! Plus alltel has shorter chargeback period than WW 180 days vs 270.

Alltel sucks! You do not want to work for them. Go work for Sprint or Cingular. I have dealt with Alltel in the past and they are not as advertised. I know about the Forbes magazine article and obviously the person who wrote it has never been to Alltel. The people who work for Alltel suck especially the ones who are coming from former AT&T wireless, we know what their customer service was like. Go somewhere else.

I work for Cingular now that is why I am drawn to Alltel

I now have an interview with cell one which will become alltel, so the wheels are in motion.

I started with Alltel in late May and they kick the ass of the Indirect Verizon Agent I was working for before (Grand Wireless in N.E.). Their benefits packages are clutch. And the guaranteed commision program for 3 months is nice too. If only they could get a hot spokesperson like Zeta-Jones or James Earl Jones. What...Vader's the man...

Well the commission guarantee is only three checks but the benefits are the best are they not. I am so happy I went to Alltel and their policies are getting so much better for the customer so I am very excited about the changes!! Welcome to the team!!!
