Question about alltel-do they have partner transfer networks?
hello I a a recently switched attwireless to alltel customer. My number is located in OK . while the serice is great and I lve the free v710 they sent me I may end up using a lot of off network minutes. Does alltel have the same policy like attws that if you use 3 months or more off the company network they will ask you leave the company or use service more on their network? I am now in NYC. Attws had a deal with several partners that if you left a attws market you could transfer your service to another partner with no penalty. Is this the case with alltel? Do they have a deal with verizonwireless? thanks

with an appropriate plan most likely you will not have a problem. Most people can't even get out of the contract when they move out of an Alltel area. As long as you are using the phone in an area that Alltel has a good roaming agreement then you should be fine, most of the time you will roam on Verizon. If you are not sure call cust service and tell them the sitution and see what they say! If you transfer service you will get an ETF ☹️

ok cool. my fear was that by beign off alltels company owned network most of the time they would ask me to cancel service. My only issue at the moment is my phone is saying i ma roaming off verizon at the moment using the"americas roaming network" and is asking for a credit card. Cusotmer care is stumped. i ma hoping this is just a fluke

Two things make sure that your phone is not set to home only but rather standard scan you will find this under
menu(top middle key)>settings>network>set mode>standard scan
