Its been a month and 1 day since wireless_rep wrote that and there still isn't any new phones out, or any indication that any new phones are even coming out. I bet May 24th will come before Alltel gets any new phones, and if there isn't any new phones by then, I'm outta here.

Hey I have a stupid question, and I hate alltel phone selection, but have the best service in southwest mo. I wanted to know what kind of phones will work on the Alltel network. I know that Alltel is CDMA TriMode, but will any Verizon phone work if unlocked. If anyone knows what I need to buy to get a better phone please help the T720 just isnt cutting it anymore

Everytime I hear a commerical for Alltel when I'm drivin I just about wreck from laughter. Alltel = Do we think alike or what? "hell no" Alltel = You got that right. "they've got it all wrong" And how about when your on hold with customer service for 15 minutes and you hear all the promo's, my favorite is "Its a new year and what better time to pick up the ALL NEW ALL COOL CAMERA PHONE FROM ALLTEL" ROFL HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Ok wireless_rep its been 15 days since you posted about new phones, and I've called Alltel and they act like they don't know whats going on "which they prob don't 😁", and the people on howardforums.com don't know anything I mean come on its been 15 days already and I still havn't heard anything in the way of new phones, what are they going to do release them all in one day? i know why the alltel forum sucks so bad because all the employees are too busy wearing ties and jumping threw hoops everyday, they have no time to post anything. this fourm sucks there is no good information people will post a question and there will be one reply in a week booooooo! any alltel employees out there, are all you to busy dressing up for once a week clown day so that we can impress all the children that come to the store, it want be long.....

I currently have the Toshiba CDM9500 that was Alltel's first Color Screen phone, I got it Dec of 2002. I really need to upgrade because this one is starting to mess up and miss calls, but Alltel doesn't currently have a phone I would even consider. The phone they released last Friday thats not on the website yet is the Kyocera Rave, I'm left rather unimpressed with that phone. I really want Alltel to release a nice new flip, so the wait continues..... 😢

Hello, I am new to the forum and actually kinda new to cell phones, at least ones that do something other than let you make phone calls.
I was wondering if anybody knows about using the CD that they sell on the internet to load ring tones and games on the phone. I started a little while back trying to get it to work and started finding out that I had to download other programs , started doing that and kinda let it slid for the moment. But I would like to get it to work if it's possible. Any help would be great.

Any new phones for Alltel? Like a new PTT phone or a new camera or flip phone?

alltel once had all Motorola phones. know days theres a mix of l.g.,kyocera,etc...but the Motorola phones are awful. no camera, no bluetooth,speakerphone etc.. whats up with this, is cdma not the best technology then why does Motorola not develop better phones. even look at verizon v60p, c332????? what gives!alltel just resealed ptt service....kyocera??? i don't i will so i'll hold out till a motorola verision.

has anyone had any trouble with their PTT phone by alltel. One of mine is good the other seems to be a lemon. They do have good sound and lots of features. I haven't found or read in the book where it shows different icons for different types of numbers. Like if you have 3 different numbers for a person say home, work, and cell I guess U have to remember what order U put them in. U can place them in a personal or business list but that isn't very helpful for this situation. Any coments welcome

I am an Alltel employee that would like to put some of your questions to rest. Yes we partner with Verizon..their customers use our network where they (Verizon) is not..and vice versa..it works out great since both our systems are the same. As for a merger..i doubt but who knows. For rate plan changes...our billing system is not dependent on contracts. It is up to the sales person to explain things ...most of the time with WNP and other issues we just like the other carriers are trying super hard to save their existing customers and attract new ones. However with the introduction of picture messaging and camera phone(s)...a new contract is required since picture messaging is not and can not be added to an old rate plan...on...
