working of keypad

Hi,

I thought the working of keypad of Mobile as below_
- If we press any key, a particular signal is sent to IC/chip of handset. And this signal is different for different keys to do different operations. Please let me know if I am wrong.
- Please let me know what type of signal is that. whether it is voltage or current or any other type...(Please this is urgent)

Not really.
he posted the same message in the general forum around April 8 and I tried to answer but the post reminds me of lotion salesmen in the mall at christmas time.
