Everyone! I spoke to cingular today and asked them if I upgrade from my ATT plan to Cingular Nation with Rollover about mMode and she said mMode is a very limited service and they are not keeping it. I would need to select a medianet plan. I used one of the free tester phones in the Cingular store and noticed that medianet is FAR and I MEAN FAR!! from mMode and not in the positive way. mMode tries to help you around your travels by finding friends in the area, finding your nearest starbucks and getting driving directions to the Starbucks from your current location, email, messaging, and just several services we all come to use. Medianet doesn't offer these services but they allow you to browse the web or pay additional fees to subscrib...

Mmode sucks man. Medianet offers 10 times the info of Mmode. Mmode is gone... get over it. Give the medianet a chnace... you'll like it much better...

Mmode is AT&T service right?
Medianet is Cingular service.. right?
Cingualar just bought AT&T... right?
Therefore if cingular uses medianet and cingular owns AT&T then chances are medianet will prevail and not Mmode...
but chew on this... if you stay with AT&T then chances are youll be able to keep Mmode for as long as AT&T keeps Mmode. until then try and learn Medianet and dont migrate to cingular if it is that important to you. Change is always better and beleive it or not Cingular will try and keep whatever best practices it can from AT&T and vice versa. only time will tell and nothing is set in stone. Unfortunatly they will not chaange no matter what cingualr believes it has the better browser and I don't belive if you called stan sigman himself they would change

well do keep in mind cingular knows that mmode is superior to medianet and says there are plans to have mmode upgraded.. best business practice.. at&t had its strengths and so did cingular pre merger and obviously at&t was stronger at providing data services.. Soon cingular should have an upgraded data service that will be comparable to mmode

medianet has been upgraded several times since january... it includes alot more stuff and is alot easier to navigate..
