Hi i just got a Samsung e638 from Hong Kong. I tried to get the phone activated but it wouldnt work. When you put a SIM card into the phone the service provider menu pops up, it does a search then it says no service on the top left corner. I talked to a guy that works at a phone store and he says he "thinks" it could be that the phone is locked. I dont want to spend 250$ to unlock the phone only to find out that was not the case. Anyone ahve any ideas or confirmations on what phones do if they are locked?

A couple of months ago I got me a new v300 Motorola cell phone. It was a nice little gadget, which provided sufficient, though limited, web browsing functionality, as well as excellent voice quality.

I signed up for the $10, minimal data package and life seemed to be perfect.

But as usual, mysterious are the ways of destiny.

Last week a colleague of mine was heading to Africa. Wishing to make sure he would be able to keep in touch with the office, we sent our admin to the nearest Rogers store.

I take a picture with the camera then try to email it.I end up with this image on my screen saver. Why is that and how do I get it off and avoid this in the future. Are there any downloadable screen savers for this unit(sph i700)

I think the camera sucks inside.. but it is really good outside..

the battery doesn't last long at all.. but i use my phone a lot for mp3s etc.

i love the big screen.

i love how i can attach a flashcard and take off my videos and pictures etc with out sending it and wasting money.

the blue tooth thing is awesome.. the headset is pretty cool

i paid 300 for the phone on a 3 year (two hundered off)

i dont mind being on a three year.. ive been with telus already for 4 years.. and i got school for 3 more years.. so obviously ill be here.

I am currently using a Palm M500 and am thinking about purchasing the treo650. Is this available yet? What is the best version to go with GSM or CDMA? Is this pda good with all carriers in Ontario or just a select few?

Hi all. I need a new phone, and I'm really having trouble deciding.
I'm on Telus, which limits me ☹️ .
I currently have a Motorola v.60 I've loved it, but I'm always breaking off antennas, and now my charger won't work (connector on phone is broken)
If I could pick any phone, I'd go with the Palm One Treo 650, as I'm tired of carrying a phone, and pda, and cables..

I could switch to Rogers, but I don't want to change my number, and the rest of my family is on Telus, so when they call me, I don't pay.

I like the Blackberry as a pda/email unit, but not as a phone.

Canadians... 😳

Hi, bought a Samsung unlocked A500 CDMA2000 1X 1900/800 / AMPS 800 orininally setup for Sprint in the USA.(Northern Minnesota)

We took it to Manitoba Telephone System, (I'm From Canada) and they said they could not get it into program mode to program a number into it.

I bought this for my wife and I really don't know much about cell phones,I need help with this because I'm getting nagged to death about a phone I paid a 100.00 for and dosen't work.

😢 👿 Well I just bought a phone audiovox8900 with telus service. The phone worked well except it could not send pictures or hook up to the web. I was given the run-around and had to take the phone to a different store downtown and pay parking etc. to have the phone hooked up to a laptop and have a new prl flashed. This was done and was told it was working. I got it home and tried to use web - nothing. Went back to future shop where i bought the phone and they were very good and exchanged the phone for the lg 5450 phone which I don't like as much, however apparently it is $100 more than the audiovox8900. This goes as a warning to help save a lot of you trouble. Short story is I got a letter from Rogers telling me I could go from Moto C333 to C370 free w/2 yr contract and return of my phone. Sounded like a great deal, they also offered $100 of accessories (actually 49.95 on Moto.ca) for only $30.00. Again sounds great, I get the phone, dont really like it, too big with a smaller keypad, call to do the return. Oh yes sir we can return the phone, but not your accessories. Apparantly as there is a headset it is a health risk for returns, doesn't matter if everything is still sealed, you just got screwed out of 30 bucks. Ask for the sup there, get sales sup who says he can do nothing, it's customer cares resp to handle this. I call care, g...

Could someone recommend me a phone? I'm looking for something similar to the LG TM250, under either Fido or Bell. Preferably tri-band and a clamshell.
