Freediver...just want to say "shop around" for another T-Mobile store, and make sure it's a corporate store as Smylax has stated. I go to a store here in the Bay Area of CA, and all the reps in there are "stellar"!! I have even sent a letter to their manager stating how pleased I have been with the knowledge and level of customer service I have received at this particular store. This store also happens to be in a business district, so that may have something to do with it as well.

I am also strongly considering the 8900, but am waiting for the new Google phone to see what's that like.
I currently have the BB-Pearl-Flip which does get MMS pics through text, but it has a smaller screen and slower processor. So even though the 8900 is not 3G, I've been told they have sped-up the processor a bit compared to previous BB models...such as the Pearl-flip, which I have.

Out of the box it doesn't use voice turn by turn directions just maps from windows live search. If you want voice might want to check out Telenav see if they an app for GPS they make it for most T-mobile phones with GPS.
