Front-Facing Camera
(FFC)
A camera on the front of the phone, facing the user, or on the same surface as the main display. This enables two-way video calls (such as Apple FaceTime) and video conferencing.
It is also useful for capturing self-portraits ("selfies"). Therefore this is sometimes called a selfie camera.
The resolution and quality of the front-facing camera is often inferior to the rear, main camera.
It is most common for the front-facing camera to be fixed-focus, even on high-end phones, but some are auto-focus.
