Live Streaming TV Launched on Sprint

Sprint today began offering MobiTV, a new live streaming television service for mobile phones. The service, developed and operated by Idetic, is now available as a Java download. Channels available include MSNBC, CNBC, Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel, and more. The near-live content is streamed with continuous audio, and video at about 1-2 frames per second. The service costs $9.99 per month.

I called Sprint and they said it was due to purchases I had made, all of which were for MobiTV. There were SIX charges, one a day, at $9.99 each! After explaining to the ever so friendly customer service person that I did not make all of these purchases, and in fact had only made the original purchase (took a few times to get this through), she FINALLY decided to consult someone else before crediting back the charges.
After talking to 3G app tech support, she informed me that this was a known issue with this application. Customers who downloaded it would in fact be charged at $9.99 a day, instead of ...
