Palm needs a non-camera Treo 750W...
I work in the legal industry and I am unable to enter courthouses with any camera or recording device. The same applies in major industries (automotive, defense, etc.) where there is a concern for proprietary design information.
This makes any camera/phone/PDA completely worthless in such fields. I recognize that the carriers love selling "toys for tots" that have cute and attractive little gadgets but, in doing so, they have abandoned the entire business class of subscribers.
They should consider producing a non-camera version, then offering a decent SD or CF pop-in camera as an accessory for those who need it. Users could likely get a better camera, yet still not be barred from places of business. The cost of the phone/pda would be...

You might want to think about getting a Blackberry. Most phone and smartphone will have and continue to have cameras.

I've considered the Blackberry, however with its proprietary OS, it doesn't accommodate some features and applications that we require. That being said, we may have to revisit that option in the future. Take note, PALM, your business-centric base is beginning to look elsewhere!

I got a Blackberry 8703e and have been using it for three weeks. It is terribly cumbersome relative to my old Palm Tungsten PDA. It is going back on Tuesday, as soon as they get my Treo 700p (without camera). I was really hoping for the 700w but, alas, the 700pWOC is the best that Palm can do.

If you happen to have a model number, could you let me know? If I were armed with that, I might be able to get them off of dead center! (Or maybe it will be like GM's electric car - they may want to crush them and deny that they ever existed!)
