One poster on BGR's website said hopefully some geek will figure out how to put Android onto the Xperia, I guess we'll find out in the not too distant future, besides, I could've sworn I read that there will be an Xperia with 1700mhz band.

It does have 1700mhz, rumor us T-mobile will get it because we use 1700 and 2100.

If my understanding is correct, Tmo runs 1700 is the U.S., and 2100 in Europe.

Is it really that easy to just dump WinMo and put Android onto an Xperia, or HTC Touch Pro???

If it is easy (for you), heck, I don't know how to flash a device, and put a completly different OS on there.

It's not like you can just go to www.android.com, and click download, and WinMo is no longer on the devie.

Its not as easy as that but it is possible. Probably have to search around the net to find out how to do it. Its kinda like reformatting your harddrive on your computer with Linux when it was running windows.

Not sure if they will support the X1 but check out xda developers. They usually only deal with HTC devices but they might support the X1 since it will run windows.

The touch pro should defiantly be on xda when it comes out. Though it might take a little while after the G1 launches for people to tinker with the OS and port it to other devices.

Thank you! Your very resourceful. But the G1 is an HTC device.

I swear, if a way can be found out to get Android onto an Xperia I will jump all over it.

At least the Xperia has a REAL headphone jack!
