Concern of Oversaturation
I'm seeing lots of android phones with older OS version being released, many under powered releases in favor of a smaller price, companies saturating carriers with similar phones (T-mobile has G1, 3 MyTouches with another on the way, 1 Cliq and another on the way, Nexus One, but only 1 has 2.1)
I'm seeing feet being dragged on updating older phones.
At this rate how is Google going to keep up if phones are being pumped out in the double digits in mere months?
I don't want them to repeat the same mistakes WinMo made.
Two points I would like to make.
One is the consumer has to be responsible for doing their research into the phone they purchase. If they want the latest OS version they must expect to pay more as it will be installed on a premium phone such as the N1.
Two is when the manufacturers build a branded phoned for a carrier it is the carriers responsibility to provide updates for the phone and they seem to have very little interest in doing that.
