Anyone having problems since updating to 2.2 via OTA? I noticed a lag switching from app to app. I also have a shorter battery life. That's all I've noticed so far. Anyone else?

🙂 I know/have heard there is an app for it to be used as a modem but what is the name of it. Me and my cousin are looking for it on her phone. And we do not see it. Does anyone know?

My original droid A8555 or whatever it is, is now updated to 2.2. Where can I find the flash player? Am I missing it in the app store? Could someone walk me through it?

Anyone have a date when the incredible might be getting 2.2?

What does rooting a phone do? For instance, I have the Droid Incredible and I am wondering what it does when rooted compared to when it isn't? I have seen the word alot and have never taken the time to ask until now.

It's been a while, and at the rate that new/altered apps come out, I'd like to see what everyone is using.

APK you can download and run on your phone to easily root your phone. You can find the APK on the XDA developers forum. Make sure you have the allow non-market apps checked on your phone. It has a full listing of phones it works on. I have personally tested it on HTC Hero CDMA 2.1 running .6 software update, droid on 2.1, droid x on 2.1 and confirmed it does indeed work. I also tried on a EVO 4G running 2.2 and a droid incredible 2.1 and it failed (check XDA for more detailed info).

This will root the phone and allow rooted apps to work. In order to flash customer ROMs, you will still need to flash a recovery (should be able to do so using ROM Manager from the market).

Overloaded my MYTOUCH 3G Slide with too many txts. Followed the advice of a customer rep and did a factory reset.

Now my phone won't save contacts, delete txts, and runs slower than ever. It also erased contacts from my phone and wouldn't load from my SIM.

I tried to put my SIM in another phone (MOTO Cliq) and was able to recover my contacts from SIM. Put it back in my phone: Nothing.

Any suggestions?

Hey guys, I already rooted this thing running android 2.1 but i want to over clock the hummingbird using an overclock option that tells me to input the highest and lowest Mhz and I don't know what the highest and lowest would be. Cant find it online either. Any help??????????

How come EVDo signal logo is not longer on my EVO???? All i show is 3g

Is there any way to 'lock' or 'hide' specific applications, pictures, video, or phone folders on the Android?
