Microsoft Live support. IE Xbox live. Thats the only real reason I can think of. Most Android phones sync well enough with Windows as is.

Again, it depends on what you want to do. Windows Mobile has had a really bad rep in the past but from what I've heard, they cleaned things up quite a bit with WinPhone7. From what I hear, 7.5 was also made with heavy involvement from Nokia. It looks like things will be getting quite a bit better than they used to be.
Without having a conversation that can only be had in person, I won't recommend one way or the other. Play around a bit with both OSes. Figure out what you like and don't like. Also keep in mind that your selection of WinPhone7 devices won't be as broad as it will with android, though I do think that will change a bit fairly soon.
