SGH-T209 powers down automatically after powering up
I have an old Samsung SGH-T209 that I want to give to a friend to keep as a spare. I was able to charge the phone up normally so I think battery is good. But when I power up I get the normal Welcome to T-Mobile logo but then immediately Good-Bye with the T-Mobile logo and the phone powers down. Is this just because there is no SIM card in it or is the battery defective?
