Is the 6630 going to be available in the US anytime soon?
...
phonescoop doesnt even have it on there lists but i saw it at www.vodafone.com
...
anybody in the usa have the 6630?? if so how is it?
...
i've got it, its pretty good but too bad can't take advantage of 3g in the US. its got a lot of little additions since its symbian series 60 2nd edition. like its got a cool image viewing feature, loudspeaker can be activated earlier then other phones where you have to wait for it to start ringing before you can activate it. unlimited video, the light sensor on it to optimize battery life is really cool. the only downside i've noticed is that it uses a DV rs mmc which isnt sold anywhere yet, so i'm stuck to the 64mb and the my 1gig from my 7610 doesnt work on it đĄ but samsung is releasing a line of dv rs mmc cards soon, but only up to 512mb

...

...
đŗ đ đĄ đŋ âšī¸ it must be released n the US this is the baddest nokia phone !!

It works in the US. I am using it in Spokane WA with Cingular. An unlocked 6630 will work on any GSM network that supports its frequencies (see forum.nokia.com). You just have to set up WAP, MMS, and SMS to work on your carriers network since it comes programed for Europe or Asia.
You can get buy it unlocked from tigerdirect.com

honestly, i like the 7610 more, it looks better and can do almost everything, and i have an ipod and a digital camera so the camera on it and mp3 capabilities arent really useful to me, also they dont have 3g in us yet so i'm not really using the phone for what its made for.
...
I found the 6630 online in the US for $350 SIM-free.
How come this phone doesn't have a listing on phonescoop?
...

I have had for 5 months picked up in Dubai great phone using tmobile; AND no it will not come to the u.s. I dont see it coming here when no carrier supports 3G here and anyway its works on WCDMA 2100 networks which the u.s. would not be once they roll it out. Cant see nokia spending the $$$$ to make a u.s. version @ this point.
