So, everytime I have a problem and need to ship something to Motorola, I never get a clean resolution. It takes way too phone calls to get absolutely nowhere..and not until I contact our Moto Rep, does Motorola finally turn on their Customer Service.

Moto lost a phone I shipped in for repair, I called 5 times, they replaced it with a different model, that also has a different battery, battery door, and charger, but only sent the phone itself. I call again and they put in an order for the other accessories. I got the wrong battery, no door, no charger. (And the order number she gave me when placing that order, wasn't the order number on the receipt I got with the WRONG battery) Call today, and the stupid reps in Costa Rica tell me that...

We had them lose half of a shipment of repair phones. They signed for them, all of them. Then told us they never got them, we pulled up the UPS form with the name of the person who signed for them and they started back pedalling. They transfered us 6 times, then finally an American answered and after 4 weeks of calling back and forth (after 4 weeks of denying that they had lost anything) they sent replacements for the phones. At least they sent the right phones, with extra batteries and covers. The funny thing is that one of the lost phones came in today, repaired. And replaced at the same time. So, now what? Should I keep the extra phone for the next time this happens? Or should I alert them of their error?

I think it got los...

I would most definately have to disagree..I've gone through 4 Motorola Q's quite a short time and I assure you none of these problems where caused by me or any downloaded software. Just posted a thread about my experience with the Motorola Q. Check it out. I actually left alot out too.

i've never had a problem with motorola. i lub em. but i've never delt with their customer service.

the matter of the fact is that ALL companies need to keep call centers IN THE USA! Look at t-mobile. #1 cell phone customer service. Why!? BECAUSE THEY KEEP IT IN THE US! All their service reps know english.

hahahaha...funny 😁 🤣 😁 are you sure of that info??? actually they have a call center in the phillipines, they outsource it through sitel...anyways, english is not from america, its from great britian. american english was derived there, so nobody except the british could speak the perfect english per se...bloody hell!

With VZW, I don't worry so much about repair because on-site service centers will replace it with a refurb which still has the remainder of the 1-year warranty or 3 months, whichever is greater.

The problem I have is that about half customers I've sold a moto phone to in the last year have been back with problems. It looks bad for me. When I email my Moto rep about problems (charger issues, swelling batteries, etc) they deny that they've seen or heard of the issue. I'm calling BS on them. I can't be the only store in the country with problematic Motorola phones.

They need to worry a bit more about quality control or the US industry will start rejecting their crap. Let the rest of the world deal with them.

Ha, surprised (or not) that I'm not the only one!!
Guess what, I sent the phone (6 month old krazr) on 8/23/07 for a service, and got a phone call today that they lost it!! Of course, I called them a dozen times to check the status.

This is my son's phone and don't know how to tell him. They promised me to send me a replacement phone, but what about all the stuff on the phone (log, msgs, addressbook, etc)?

What would you do in this case?
Can I get a refund and get other phone? I got it from Sprint, so will they do it?

Thanks!

I remember selling pagers back in the 90's. some customers would have to send their pager off for repair. And most of the time, it was lost.

There are thousands of phones. If you send it to repair, it's more likly to be lost...for a while, or for good. I've only had to send a phone in for repair one time. It was a huge star tac....also in the 90's. I've never had to since. And I've mostly used Motorola phones.

Most customer service is out-sourced to over seas operations. It sucks, but it's a part of corporate America. Think of how many jobs we would have here in the US if we brought those jobs back.

I must disagree. I have been using moto phones since 2000 and I've never had a problem with the phones. I've had problems with service providers, but never the phones.

I've had a couple of Moto's over the years with issues, but nothing major.

I've used Motorola products for over 20 years. Pagers, cell phones, even CB radios.

The thing I like best about Moto's is their reception and user-friendly UI's. I also think that generally speaking the call clarity seems better than average on them.

I currently have two ic phones. The reception and sensitivity on these handsets is outstanding! Battery life ain't bad, either.
