Will V600 affect V400 pricing?
bonerJan 26, 2004, 9:31 PM
I need 2 phones, and like the V400, but hate to commit with the V600 around the corner. I don't think I'll get a Probable will be out of my budget, but I am worried about it bringing down the value of the V400.
Is this a legitimate concern, or what?
Anyone here on the inside that can answer, or shed some light to this?
thx

Next month the v400 is going to be 200 dollars and a 100 dollar rebate, if or when the v600 comes out, they wouldn't lower the price, they in my opinion would discontinue the v400.

OK, I just bought a V400 from cingular last week. I'm still in my 14 day honeymoon. If the price of the phone goes down, i.e. $100 rebate, as opposed to the $50 rebate they gave me, how should I handle that?

you can't do anything about it... you willl just have to take the 50 dollar rebate..
you could probably call customer service and gripe at them, i wouldn't reccommend it, but you could try it..
if you don't buy it in the allotted time, then you don't get it.

Ok, if I'm within my 15 days, I should be able to take the phone back. Tell them forget about the deal, then do it all over again with the $100 rebate. Should be easier on them to just give me the $100 rebate.
I have not sent in the other rebate, nor messed with the current UPC.

okay here's the deal, you are in your 15 days, but if you read that return policy closely it doesn't say that you get all your money back.
you have to pay for what minutes you have used and i believe the activation fee.. but you get a full refund on your phone.
so that doesn't seem like a logical thing to do to me..

I would talk to a CSR and see what they could do for you. The other way seems like a lot of extra paper work for no reason.
