PUP Math Max (known as the PUP Nationwide Search for Math wizard) is a mathematics contest open to
all students in the tertiary level all over the country. Its purpose is to promote and enhance
mathematics excellence through healthy competition among the students. The contest is an annual
one, held in time with the PUP College of Science foundation week celebration.
Percival Byron S. Bueser, a second year nursing student of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila,
clinched the grand prize in the recently concluded PUP Math Max 2008 (Pushing to the Limit). Other
winners include Joselito Torculas, second place, of the Adamson University, and Antonio Valente G.

Are You Prepared for How Odd the Real World Can Be?
I cant help but get excited each time I think that we only have seven
months to go for the big day, "Graduation Day". We all have one goals
right now, it is to finished college. There is always the question like,
"What will you do when you've graduated from college"?. The transition
into and out of college can be both exciting and scary. There will be new
challenges, oppurtunities, unwritten rules and embarssment around every
corner. Are we really prepared for life after our diploma? For job hunts and
ultimately, our first real job?
Iam a working student for almost four years, and based on my own
experience, the real world can be a very strange place...
