v600 Wallpaper\Background Resolution

Does anyone know the correct resolution that uploaded photos have to be in order to properly be displayed as wallpaper on the v600? I tried setting a 640x480 image as wallpaper and it was stretched.

I belive the V600 and the V300 have the same screen size, I believe my wallpaper is 176*220
