COULD IT BE TRUE, COMMING IN MID OCTOBER, THERE WILL BE TWO NEW SANYO'S HEADING FOR SPRINT THE ONE MODEL NUMBER WILL BE THE SANYO 9000. NO INFORMATION HAS BEEN PUT OUT AS FAR AS WHAT CAPABILITIES OR FEATURES THIS PHONE WILL HAVE, HOWEVER KEEP YOUR EYES OUT SOMETHING COOL IS ON THE WAY!

3 new sanyo's are deffinitly coming to Sprint.I know for a fact. I work for sprint. I really havent heard about the features but I know the phones are coming soon for sure. The sanyo 9000 ( a replacement for the 7400 with EVDO), the sanyo 4930 ( to replace the 4920 ), and the sanyo 5000( I have no clue about this one ). But I will tell you one thing. Sanyo has some really really amazing phones out in japan. the networks in japan only have really nice phones. if you want to see some really nice CDMA phone's look at docomo , vodaphone japan , and the best company in my opinion KDDI . KDDI sells the most amazing sanyo slider phone. -Mike

just a cupple techical issues.
the sanyo 9000 is not the replacement for the 7400. the sanyo 9000 is the 5600 with evdo. how do i know i have seen it heald it played with it.
and the sanyo 5000 that was an old 2 g phone..... but it did have a color screen.

Sanyo color screen phones: 4900, 7200, 8100, 8200, 8300, 7300, 7400, 5500, 5600, 4920, 2300, 200... no 5000 😛

you also forgot the 5400 😛 also you for got the 4930 and the sanyo 9000 and of course the afore mentioned 5000, 5150, and the 5300.

Well unfortunately your are correct. Its sad what sprint (or maybe its not) doing to its baby. However I do think after this gen of handsets come out the gen after that will be Sanyo’s glory days again. Fingers crossed.

I just saw a 4930 today can't say where, but it has rubberized sized is mostly black except has a newer shape. Also there is chrome where the earpiece is! Really nice phone will def sell well. There is nothing new on ther phone still uses net front 3.1, and the same sanyo menu as the 2300!

To me, the Netfront browser runs circles around the Openwave browser. And there are people who live by the Sanyo 4000 series, my dad being one of them. If it wasn't for the fact that this phone is being released, he wouldn't have switched back to Sprint from Verizon.
