Designed to fail(?) Yeah.
Id like to start out by saying that Im a huge SE fan and I wish I was wrong. I have spent several hours carefully examining this problem.
Am I the only person who uses my SE(w810)-with the wonderful "fast-port" connector for my headphones- more than occasionally- and had it fall apart? Ive ordered a replacement headset/adapter once already and it has failed. After being used for about...3 weeks. Now lets be honest- I use my phone as my mp3 player everyday. BUT its in a HARDcase in my pocket. I dont smash it, sit on it or bash it with hammers, but in all fairness, I am more than a "casual" user. Im a FREAK when it comes to taking care of my electronics(poor college kid). After replacing it the first time I secured my new adapters ...
