610 vs 616 network selection

just wondering if the 616 will work in Africa where these networks are provided by cell phone service providers, GSM 900/1800/400

t616 on works on the gsm bands of 850/1800/1900 so it probably won't work in most of africa (that has service, : P ) afaik uses the gsm 900 band which the t616 doesn't have but the t610 does.
