Sony Ericsson
Are SE phones pocketable/durable?
No, I don't mean just size-wise. I carry my phone in my front pants pocket, so it needs to be small, light, and durable. I'm worried about durability in general and about the mouse/pointer stick in particular.
I'm also interested in opinions on the SE line in general: voice quality; reception; battery life.
I currently have (and like a lot) the Sanyo 6400, but am tired of waiting for Sprint to offer a BT phone. (I konw there was briefly a SE BT phone for SPCS, but i hear it was recalled.)
TIA
Brooke
I have been using Sanyos with Sprint for several years now with very good results, but, like you, I was dying for a BT phone and just got the SE T608. I've only had it for a couple days, but durability does not seem to be an issue. The joystick does not stick out very far, and you can lock the keys to prevent inadvertent button-pushing. I also keep my phone in my left front pants pocket, and the much smaller size vs my Sanyo 4900 is fantastic.
Voice quality seems to be equal to or better than my Sanyos, and so far reception has been fine, a non-issue. Battery life is clearly more limited than my Sanyo, but the battery is half the size so that's to be expected. You should still be able to get a day's use out of a single charge....
