Does anyone know of any new CDMA Sony Ericssons coming? Thanks
...
There seems to be conflicting information about Sony's commitment to CDMA. I just got the T608, and one of the reviewers said after he had trouble the phone was being recalled and SE was not going to support it. I read elsewhere that SE tried this and decided not to pursue CDMA. And yet the phone is on their website and is available from Sprint.

all the new phones from se that have been announced this year have been gsm or 3g/umts, nothing cdma.
...
I have the t608 but am currently using a samsung w/ camera. Which I LOVE! But SE has some phones coming out ie Z500 has a 10 hr talktime.
Why don't other carriers follow suit & offer such awesome battery lives w/o charging for second battery? 😢
...
CDMA phones consume more power than GSM phones. That is why you will see the huge gap in talk time between the handsets.
...
No it's cuz some of them (CDMA) are Li-Ion and the GSM phones use Li-Polymer.
...
I know this is kinda weird. But when my current phone which is CDMA is in analog it use more power then when it is in digital. Just what I've noticed, not sure if thats true or not.
...
that is true of some, but not all phones with good battery life.
...
SE does NOT make CDMA phone anymore!

WCDMA is the next step after GSM, ASIA uses WCDMA, GSM and UMTS is used in europe
...
Japan uses WCDMA and China uses GSM and CDMA. Other parts of Asia use GSM / UMTS. All of Europe uses GSM/UMTS while the States has CDMA/TDMA and GSM. GSM dominates at this time.

Has anyone heard of any plans from SE to possibly re-enter the CDMA arena? I really like the looks of a lot of the SE phones, but do not want to move from VZW. If someone could please let me know, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
