Samsung Makes Eternity II and Flight II Official for AT&T
Samsung today announced two more quick messaging devices for AT&T's network, the SGH-a597 Eternity II (pictured) and Flight II. Samsung published information about the Flight II last week. The Eternity II has a 3-inch touch display with user-configurable home screens. As with with the Flight II, the Eternity II also supports AT&T's Mobile TV live television subscription service ($10/mo.). Other features of the Eternity II include Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, aGPS, 2 megapixel camera with video capture, and support for 32GB microSD cards. The Eternity II will be loaded with messaging and social networking software, including PicDial, a new feature that lets users "see full screen Facebook and MySpace profile pictures and status messages of contacts on their mobile phone during every call." The Flight II is available now only at RadioShack retail stores. The Eternity II will be available on August 15 at AT&T retail locations and AT&T's web site.
Samsung Flight II SGH-A927 Headed to AT&T
Samsung recently published information about an unannounced quick messaging device headed to AT&T. The SCH-A927 Flight II is a sideways slider with both a 3-inch touch screen and a full QWERTY keyboard. According to Samsung, the Flight II has an HTML browser and is compatible with AT&T's mobile TV service. Other features include customizable widgets, a 2 megapixel camera with video capture, support for microSD cards up to 16GB, aGPS and Bluetooth. The original Samsung Flight was sold by AT&T. It will be available exclusively from RadioShack stores starting the weekend of August 7-8. Pricing wasn't disclosed, nor did AT&T say when the Flight II would be available at its own stores.
