Three New Treos Coming Next Year

Dec 22, 2005, 2:59 PM

Palm CEO Ed Colligan this week confirmed more Treos are coming from Palm next year. In addition to the Treo 700w, which is expected next month at Verizon, Palm will launch three additional models in 2006. Although Colligan or anyone else at Palm has not revealed what these other devices are, consensus among Palm experts and analysts point to a Palm OS Treo 700 and two other devices code named Hollywood and Lowrider.

Pictures of New Treo, RAZR Leak Out

Sep 23, 2005, 3:39 PM

Engadget yesterday got a new Treo long enough to take a few pictures of what is no doubt Palm's next smartphone. Now called the Treo 700W, this is Palm's first Windows Mobile smartphone. The device Engadget received clearly shows a Verizon logo, and in addition to EV-DO high speed data, Engadget claims the device features Bluetooth, 1 MP camera, SD slot and 64 MB RAM. Palm, Microsoft and Verizon have just called a press conference for Monday, tacitly confirming most of this information. A Howard Chui tipster today spent some time with a RAZR 2 - not the 3G RAZR V3x, but the revision of the current RAZR. The device features a new keypad and glowing logo on the outer flip. The camera is upgraded to 1.3 MP, a TransFlash slot has been added and the model pictured features the iTunes software and airplane mode from the ROKR.
