JUST GOT IT TODAY.
Just got the phone from my rep today. Cingular will not be picking this phone up.... EVER. But at least you can still use it on Cingular. I already tried the Cingular Video feature with my buddy and the video chat works great. Its so much fun walking around and seeing what your friend sees on the other side of the planet.

So you're completely positive it won't go to Cingular? Because T-mobile is totally botching it all up with those damn Samsung phones. I can't stand them. I've been waiting for a new Motorola, since the RAZR which didn't really interest me.

The RIZR notes the EDGE High Speed Data Network. Does this not imply that it has to be a Cingular phone?

Actually T-Mobile is also on a GSM/EDGE network. If you look at the music player, it says MP3, not iTunes... if it said iTunes, you'd know that it was to be a Cingular phone, as iTunes is exclusive to Cingular. It looks like this phone is going to be on T-Mobile only, which is unfortunate because T-Mobile isn't a very good carrier.

It could be on any of the GSM/EDGE carriers as Dobson/Cellular One also carries GSM/EDGE but I doubt we'll be that lucky to get this beast of a phone. I would definitely cop this for real and use it on our network with Dobson.

Check Ebay, you can get them for about 300 in the auction or buyItNow for about 350-400. I got mine about a week ago!
