Carrier Bitin'

I hate the way that Verizon be bitin' Cingular. First the bit the Razr and now the Slvr. Where does the madness end? The fact that the Q & the "Chocolate" where originally GSM phones and Verizon did whatever they could to keep these phones from landing in Cingular's lap shows how desperate they are to win the "Carrier Wars". But too bad the Q's got nothing on the 8125 or the 2125 for that matter. And the chocolate got an terrible review in the wall-street journal.

Biting Cingular?? The only reason they had the RAZR first is because Cingular paid for exclusivity.. secondly, when the RAZR did come to Verizon, it was better than the RAZR on Cingular... i.e. better camera and EV-DO...

Have you seen Verizon's lineup of phones not found on any other carrier?? LG 8300, LG 9800 and 9900, MOTO Q...

Then there is the V3m RAZR and KRZR k1m ...

All great phones!!!!

Cingy may have paid for exclusivity, but from Tmo, not VzW ... it took moto some time to come up with a cdma version, which is apparently the case here with the l7 (isn't that a lesbian 69 btw?) and the Q was initially a gsm device, but cingular wanted it to be 3g, which moto couldn't do just yet.

we'll get our q, but i agree with protege that verizon has a better phone selection right now, as cingular is still selling a two year old moto for a strangely high cost, and doesn't have a very good selection of 3g phones, though i'm digging my lg cu500.

L7 are a rock and roll all-women band. The band was formed in 1985 by Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner, who were later joined by Jennifer Finch and Dee Plakas. They signed to Epitaph Records for their first album and to Sub Pop in 1989. The name is taken from a slang phrase from the 1950s which means "square," but is often mistaken for a reference to a sex position, also called "69".

since when is the wall street journal a credible phone reviewer? i feel its better that ppl who read it wont buy it. its not intended for them. if they buy it, it will instantly become uncool.

Actually, the Chocolate and Q were both CDMA phones first.

The Chocolate was originally a CDMA phone for Korea, and only very recently did they introduce a GSM version for Europe.

The Q was always coming to CDMA first. It's been out for a while now for CDMA, and a GSM version hasn't even been officially announced yet.

Thanks, it's always a pleasure to get the facts from someone who actually knows what they are talking about.

Its called competition. And if moto releases phones that explode in popularity, why wouldn't they want to make them for other carriers? The razr is a top selling phone on any carrier that has it.

To each his own. I've had way better luck with any other company, as well as phones, with Verizon than any other company, INCLUDING Cingular.
