It is coming to Sprint.
Sprint and Motorola have had a rocky relationship. At first, in high school they went out on a few dates, to the prom and Motorola gave Sprint the startac phones as a gift. Then after high school, they started seeing other people (Motorola was seeing Nextel, Sprint was seeing Sanyo), and didn't talk much. Right before college, Sprint and Motorola wanted another chance. The V60C was born, and died shortly after of antenna breakage cancer. Sprint almost caught a terminal disease with this effort.
Once college began, Sprint started to see other people and married Nextel. Nextel and Motorola had a baby together called iDEN, and Sprint decided to adopt this child until it'...

Sprint IS getting this phone and whole lotta other Motos starting in the 4th Quarter.

First of all, when Sprint starting using MIDP 2.0 (Java) on their phones, this turned off Moto because it is actually a bit unatural for Sprint to go this route. Sprint is a CDMA carrier, and CMDA carriers (in the USA... at least) typically go with BREW. BREW was designed by Qualcomm to be used on CDMA devices. However, Java is more popular among developers because of lower development costs and licensing fees. Also... becaue Java is used on GSM handsets, which is what MOST of the world is using. Sprint went with Java to allow more software to be available to it's customers.

One other thing. The Sprint version is getting the OBEX Bluetooth profile. It looks like the Verizon version will not.
