Motorola RAZR maxx Ve
Ringtones sound off
I just got my Maxx Ve, and I don't know if it is my phone, or if I am just used to how my last phone sounded, but the ringtones sound, well, "off" to me. I previewed a couple from Get It Now that I had on my last phone, and I know they will sound different on different phones, but they sounded REALLY different. Has anyone else had this problem? 😕
Also, I never seem to hear the phone ring if it's in my purse or jacket pocket, even on the highest volume. My last phone I could here from two rooms away - is this a common thing with the Maxx? 😕

Try a few of the many different settings.

On many other phones I've had, I often had trouble being able to hear the ringtone.
On the Maxx, I did notice that there is a slight difference in the ringtones that came with the phone verses the ones I downloaded from the Verizon website.
The preinstalled ringtones are average in volume.
The downloaded ringtones are so loud that I have the phone set to low-medium and I still hear it in the car with the radio on.

Then you can amplify or boost to get more volume. Once you push the adjusted file to the phone, you will need to reset any custom ringers, even if you used the same filename.
