C417 Headset jack stopped working ...
Hi. My wife and I both have SGH-C417s (mine is black, my wife's red) and last month we purchased two (wired) headsets.
The problem is that the headsets just recently stopped working - we don't use them that often so it was probably last week when we last used the headsets and today (Feb 18, 2007) BOTH stopped working. Actually they "sorta" work but when you call someone they emit a continuous annoying BEEPING SOUND and are utterly useless because of this.
Has this happened to anyone else? Or are we the only cheap ones not using bluetooth with this phone?

Hi, I have the same problem with the wired headset, and it has been very frustrating trying to resolve the issue. I will double check to make sure I have the FOUR connection headset. But it is a plantronics headset that Bestbuy assured would work with the C417. Samsung tech support was NO help. They said they haven't received any calls regarding this.
I will continue to work on this, so please keep me posted if you find out anything, and I will do the same.

I just tried to use the wired one on Tuesday and I got this strange continuos noise. I tried 3 different ones...it was the FIRST time I had tried the wired one..my bluetooth works fine...this phone is crap if its one thing it is another. I find more and more the longer I use it...I it is only 4 months old...I want my NOKIA back!!!
