Hello quick question. When a call is coming in can you hit the side keys like most lg phones to silence it? or do you have to hit the buttons on the front?

No Stereo Speakers ????
This probably isn't a big deal for a lot of people, but when I went to "compare" on Phonescoop and put in the vx9400 against like 6 other recent verizon phones and all but this one got a "yes" in the column of "stereospeakers".
Anyone know how this will effect music quality on the vx9400 compared to the vx8300 or vx8600?

listening to music through phone's speakers...
I have the vx8300 right now and when playing music from the phone's speakers the quality is very good.
How is the music quality on the vx9400 without headphones?
I'd greatly appreciate some feedback.

Did this come with Backup Assistant installed or able to get?
I had the U620 for a week and it did not have it available so I am curious if the one 9400 I ordered will.

Can you play videos off the micro sd card?
I have contacted every editor i can find who's had a hands on and asked this and no responses whatsoever. I doubt Verizon would allow this feature, but i think it would be really great. Also since you have the same screen, allowing some kind of video podcasts etc would be a great feature.

Camera
Does anyonekow if the bluish/greenish plastic film that covers the camera should be removed? I would presume so but wasn't quite sure. Thanks.

I used zip code for 84101 for Salt Lake City, one of the Vcast mobile TV launch cities, and it is there for $250 less $50 for 2 year agreement. Right on time, as promised.

PHONE SCOOP Glitch !!!!!!!!!!
If you look at the 5 phonescoop pictures of the vx9400 only the 2nd pic has the word "verizon" at the top of the phone. None of the other pics do.
I only picked this up cause I'm a phone geek, but, lets call a spade a spade, most of us on Phonescoop are, so you guys may get a kick out of it too.

When is Shine coming out?!!!
Can't wait for that phone!!
I saw the VX8700 or something.. that "flip-type" shine. Hate the look of that phone...
Perhaps bartype or slider type looks SO MUCH better.. but VX9400 looks pretty good! I'm excited about the screen quality. ๐

possible info for release from cdrinfo.com
If you are a fan of VCAST TV but the new Samsung u620 -- the only supported handset at the moment -- doesn't have a crisp enough display - you might be in luck.
LG's VX9400 is close to release. Rumors are that the pivot display VX9400, which was originally thought to be scheduled to launch alongside the u620, will end up dropping on the 23rd of this month in VCAST TV markets. Pricing should come in at $350 full retail, $250 on a one-year contract after rebate, or $200 if you like that mobile TV action enough to sign up for two full years. Launching the same day should be the Samsung u540 at $80 after rebates on a two-year agreement (we'll take the VX9400, please).
