Turn off 3G?
Does anyone know if it is possible to turn off the 3G/WCDMA to conserve battery? Does it then revert to EDGE (on AT&T)?

You can select the network to either auto, gsm, or umts. You can also adjust the gsm/umts bands to either eurasian 3g (wcdma2100)n or north american (850+1900). I believe it reverts to edge if umts isn't enabled or if you're not in a 3g market.

How do I turned it off? Where is the function to turn the 3G off? ☹️

Go into settings-phone-then on the bottom row in the second tab should say "services", after pressing "services", scroll down to band selection and select, next menu will ask you to select the network type and under that gsm/umts band, both with drop down menus.
