Make sure your mp3's are 30 seconds or less and the names are (i think) 35 characters or less with no spaces, attach them to an email and send to ##########@vzwpix.com, where ######## is your cell # . When the email arrives at your phone, select options, save as ringtone, repeat for each one you attached.

This method also works for transferring photos for wallpaper and/or caller id.

Wow, this is pretty cool, but I have found you can only save .midi files as ringtones with this method. Any ideas on how to convert mp3's to midi files and edit their lengh?

I have found if you use audacity (free!!) which you can get here:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ »

you can export selections of audio as mP3 but simply name the output file as *****.midi It will warn you some players won't recognize it if it's named .midi instead of .mp3 but just say OK.

You can also boost the volume if needed.

I sent a ringtone to my phone, just how it was stated above. The phone gets it and downloads the file but when i go to open it, it says "No Content" I went to message info and the phone sees its a sound file but wont play it.

How do you boost the volume with Audacity? I can't seem to find that menu sequence.

For those of you finding the audacity program hard to use, here is another site that allows you to crop your mp3 files, and it saves it in a file that is readable by the u620.
