regarding text and picture messages, you need to be replying or writing a text (the screen you actuality type out the message) then you can flip but you have to do it within 4 to 6 seconds otherwise it saves the message as a draft and resets. to change the "flip duration from 4 to 6 seconds go to settings & tools, select #6 phone settings then #3 flip duration, this will let you change the time to have to flip the phone from one mode to the other.
